We are finishing packing and will hit the road in an hour or so, heading to Montana for a (VERY) quick visit to John's parents and on to the airport to CO tomorrow morning. All went well this week until Thursday night/Friday morning, when I got a 24-hour stomach bug (or else ate something that didn't agree with me)... it was NOT in the schedule for me to spend our last day in Lethbridge near the bathroom! But all is well today, and we are excited to go -- although sad to say goodbye.
I'll post again from MT or CO (I hope). Our fingers are crossed that the weather in Europe gets better this week -- England is in the worst cold spell of the last 30 years, and tons of flights have been canceled. In addition, the usually worry-free Eurostar train that will take us to France is AGAIN having troubles and all trains are again canceled this weekend (the same thing happened before Christmas). But the good news is that it's OK if we get there later than planned -- no classes to teach or people expecting us right away. So we'll just hope for the best and enjoy this exciting time together.
Thanks for your good wishes as we head out!
